You’ve almost definitely heard of Lancashire (and if you haven’t then how did you wind up on this page?) but you might not know what makes it so special, so allow us to take you on a little journey through Lancashire so that hopefully you can appreciate a little place we like to call home, just as much as we do.
Blackpool
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, then you’ll know all about Blackpool, you might have even been there…
Zoo’s, museums, theme parks, Blackpool Tower, the beach, the list goes on. Whether it’s a casual strong along the waterfront or trying your luck on the 2p machines we’re sure you’re going to love Blackpool, we certainly do! You can even find some Lancashire Farm yogurt there and that’s the main attraction, of course.
Fun fact: The height to the top of the flagpole of Blackpool Tower is more than 518ft and originally the Tower was only going to be 450ft high.
Pendle Hill
There are a lot of hills in Lancashire, and we mean a lot! But this one is probably our favourite. With a summit of 557 metres (1,827 ft) above mean sea level, it’s a bit of a big one!
One of the things the hill is famous for is it’s link to witchcraft, making it the perfect hike on Halloween, if you’re not too scared that is…
All The Walks
Maybe you’re a bit of an explorer, a lover of an adventure. Lancashire has you covered there as well. Lancashire has some of the best walking paths in the country, taking on one of these will guarantee you some breathtaking stunning views of the county.
One of our favourites is The Tolkien Trail, which allows you to walk in the footsteps of author J.R.R. Tolkien. The nearly 6 mile walk explores some of the stunning surroundings that inspired him when writing The Lord of The Rings books, keep your eyes peeled and you may even see some names similar to those which occur in The Lord of the Rings!

Ewood Park
Footy fan? Then you absolutely have to check out the home of Blackburn Rovers F.C. they may be in the second tier of English football right now, but they were a founding member of The Premier League back in 1992 and actually won the Premier League title in 1995. Although this is often a forgotten achievement in a league dominated by Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City , it sure won’t be leaving the memory of Rovers fans any time soon!
The Singing Ringing Tree
Lancashire is the home to some beautiful works of art and one that sticks out is The Singing Ringing Tree.
It was designed by Tonkin Liu and completed in 2006, winning aThe National Award for architectural excellence by the Royal Institute of British Architects.
It stands at 3 meters tall cand is made from pipes of galvanised steel which uses wind energy to create sound covering a range of several octaves.
It really has to be seen/heard to be believed. Plus it makes for a great Instagram photo!
And of Course…
Lancashire Farm Dairies!
We couldn’t not give ourselves a little shout out, but you already know all about us – otherwise you wouldn’t be here!
